Each artist who works on campus or is part of the Workhouse Associate Artists is offered the opportunity to display a piece of art representative of their body of work.
 
An independent juror reviews the entire show and selects “Best in Show” and several “runners-up.”
The winner of “Best in Show” is afforded a solo show in the McGuireWoods Gallery later in the year.
 
At the conclusion of the exhibit the Workhouse Arts Center hosts a special reception and fundraiser. Each patron who purchases a ticket for the art lottery is entered into a drawing, and in order of their lottery number the patrons select one of the pieces of art for their personal art collection.
 
There are four levels of tickets:
Premier Package ($500 for a couple / $450 for a single person) – guarantees one of the first ten spots in the lottery.
Premium Package ($350 for a couple / $300 for a single person) – guarantees slots 11 through 30 in the lottery.
Regular Package ($200 for a couple / $150 for a single person) – guarantees ticket purchaser will leave with an original piece of art
“Come for the Fun” Package ($100 for a couple / $75 for a single person) – come and enjoy an evening of music, food and fun with friends and supporters of the Workhouse Arts Center.
